We are happy to announce that Photon Sports, in collaboration with Elitfotboll Dam (the association of women’s elite football in Sweden), conducted over 8,500 tests during the previous season of OBOS Damallsvenskan, the top division of women’s football in Sweden.
Based on the test results, Helena Andersson, Med.Dr.Sci at Umeå University, and Dan Fransson, PhD at the University of Gothenburg, along with their teams, conducted a pilot study aimed at the long term development of female elite football players.
The study revealed a significant correlation between jump height in Countermovement jumps (CMJ) and maximum speed during a 30m sprint. The findings have not been seen before and leads us into further discussions.
