Earlier this year, Photon Sports entered the Polish market, trusted by the Polish FA (PZPN), to provide valuable performance insights to their national teams. Photon Sports is now expanding further into Poland by signing their first Polish club, GKS Tychy—a team committed to optimise performance empirically using Photon’s technology and user-friendly tools.
The Polish football leagues are gaining recognition for their competitiveness and commitment to nurturing homegrown talent, while also attracting international players. One of the frontrunners, GKS Tychy from Liga 1, are now turning to Photon Sports to elevate their players’ performance.
“Football fitness is developing rapidly in Poland, and I’m thrilled that GKS Tychy is the first Polish club to get our hands on Photon Sports’ technology,” says Martin Bielec, Performance Manager for GKS Tychy.
Martin continues: “Photon Sports not only allows me to easily and effectively track and analyse performance and force-velocity profiles, but also to cut through the noise with empirical data using Photon’s SPC tool (Statistical Process Control).”
Anders Tånger, CEO of Photon Sports, is looking forward to the partnership:
“We’re excited to collaborate with GKS Tychy and hope to contribute to their success. Our goal is to help the players become faster and more agile, while also supporting injury prevention efforts, so they can spend more time on the pitch. It will be especially interesting to see how their deceleration abilities progress now that the technology reveals the details,” Anders says.
