Want to build the technology the world’s best athletes are measured with?
The cameras we build here in Umeå are used by top clubs in both women’s and men’s football, from Sweden’s Allsvenskan and Damallsvenskan to the biggest leagues in England, Spain and Germany, and in more than 20 countries across six continents. Now we are taking the next step: a new generation of 3D camera technology that pushes the limits of what can be measured in sport. We are looking for an engineer who wants to help build it, from the first prototype to the finished system for the customer.
About the role
We are strengthening our development team with a Hardware & Production Engineer with a sharp technical mind. You will make sure our cameras are built, calibrated, quality-assured and delivered with the precision that elite sport demands, and you will own the flow from sourcing to delivery.
At the same time, you will be a central part of developing our next-generation technology, which is at the very forefront of 3D camera technology. You will build and test prototypes, develop fixtures and calibration methods for new cameras, and make sure the technology can be produced at scale. You will be the link between development and production.
Key responsibilites
- Sourcing and purchasing of components, including supplier relationships and alternative sources.
- Inventory management and material planning.
- Optics assembly and assembly of camera systems.
- Calibration and quality control of 3D cameras before delivery.
- Packaging and shipping to customers worldwide.
- Developing and improving documentation, procedures and test protocols for production and calibration.
- Automating test, calibration and production workflows, including image analysis for verification.
- 3D modelling and 3D printing of fixtures, mounts and prototypes.
- Prototyping, testing and evaluation of new camera technology.
- Industrialising new technology, from prototype to production.
Who are we looking for
You want to understand how things work and enjoy making them work in practice, every time. You are meticulous, structured and take ownership of keeping the flow running, from ordered components to delivered systems.
We believe you bring:
- An MSc in Engineering Physics or a similar technical degree, giving you an understanding of optics, measurement technology and image analysis.
- Basic programming experience, preferably in Python.
- Experience with, or a strong interest in, CAD and 3D printing.
- A structured approach and the ability to keep track of materials, suppliers and deliveries.
- A hands-on attitude and a feel for precision.
- Strong communication skills in Swedish and English.
This role suits you whether you are a recent graduate or have a few years of experience and want to take on broad responsibility early.
Valuable experience:
- Experience in prototyping, production or purchasing.
- Experience with camera calibration, optics or computer vision.
- An interest in sport and performance measurement.
The opportunity
You will join a small, close-knit team with world-leading expertise in 3D camera technology and athletic performance measurement. In a young company like ours, your work will be varied, you will see its impact directly in the product, and you will help shape how we develop, produce and deliver as we grow. It is a rare chance to work at the forefront of sports technology, alongside people who are defining how elite athletes are measured.
