At Photon Sports, we’re proud to announce the launch of Sprint Mechanics Assessment Scoring (S-MAS)—now fully integrated into our enhanced Video Module.
S-MAS is a groundbreaking tool that enables coaches and practitioners to analyze an athlete’s sprint mechanics using slow-motion video and a 12-point scoring protocol. This field-friendly assessment makes it easy to evaluate technique in real-world conditions—without the need for a biomechanics lab.
Using high-resolution video and intuitive kinograms, S-MAS identifies five key sprint phases—Toe-Off, Maximal Vertical Projection, Late Swing, Touch-Down, and Mid-Stance—and flags movement patterns that may limit performance or increase injury risk. With side-by-side comparisons and historical tracking, practitioners can monitor athlete progress over time and tailor coaching strategies for measurable gains.
Available for both Standing and Flying Sprint tests, S-MAS helps bridge the gap between elite performance goals and injury prevention strategies—making sprint analysis both smarter and more accessible.
This launch represents a significant milestone in our ongoing mission to provide coaches and athletes with powerful, practical tools that drive measurable performance outcomes.
