Skellefteå-based sports technology company, Photon Sports, is expanding its team with two new roles in communication and software development. With increasing numbers of football clubs in Sweden and Europe using the company’s unique tool to help athletes measure their ability, Photon Sports is looking to strengthen its position in the market.
Using 3D technology and advanced sensor technology, Photon Sports measures speed, reaction time, and explosiveness to provide athletes with unique insights to develop their skills. To support this growth,
the company has recruited Sven Burman as Marketing Manager and Filip Skoog as Software Developer.
Sven Burman, who has experience in both agency and corporate environments, will support Photon Sports in developing its brand and finding new ways to communicate. Meanwhile, Filip Skoog, who has
previously worked for TietoEnator, will help the development team translate market needs into product development.
Anders Tånger, CEO of Photon Sports, is delighted with the new recruits and sees them as key to strengthening the company’s presence in the European market:
“We’re thrilled to have more passionate individuals joining our team. Sven brings a wealth of experience in collaborating with brands striving for growth, and we eagerly anticipate his creative flair to enrich our future endeavors. Filip fortifies our development efforts, enhancing our ability to translate insights into exceptional customer experiences. Let’s embark on this exciting journey of teamwork and progress!”
Photon Sports’ unique system for measuring athletic ability is gaining popularity among football teams in Europe. All teams in OBOS Damallsvenskan in Sweden are currently using the system, as well as many of the men’s teams, including recent additions IFK Norrköping and Djurgårdens IF. Top teams like Belgian KRC Genk and Tromsø Idrettslag have also adopted the system. With the recruitment of key employees like Adam Stighäll for customer relations, Photon Sports is gradually building a platform to strengthen its position in the European market. The company’s unique measurement technology has significant potential in the market, and more top teams are expected to adopt it in the future.
